Charles is a man who knows quite a bit about genetic mutation. He, himself, has one as well. Being telepathic has gained him great knowledge in many situations. Including one that deals with an old friend of his.

Now, now he uses Cerebro to find new mutants and recruit them. Train them. Get them used to their abilities.
